Go exploring in your backyard or neighborhood.
See what fall preparation activities you can find.
What did you see in this same area back in Winter’s January, or Spring’s May?
In your Nature Journal, draw and write about what you see, hear, smell and touch.
Are there leaves beginning to change color?
What trees changed first?
Are there still some flowers in bloom?
What kind are they?
Watch to see if the birds are hunting for berries or insects.
Do you see any insects feeding on plants.
Collect some dried seeds and nuts.
September changes drastically from the beginning of the month to the end of the month. Keep checking the same spot all month long!
