Some Birds That Migrate
In The Fall & Spring

Watch for some of these birds in migration  depending on where you live.

Sandpipers are shore birds that migrate along the coast line.

  

Canada Geese will stay north if a winter food supply is abundant and there is access ot water such as ponds, lakes, or bays.

  

Arctic Terns migrate each year about 11,000 miles from the high Arctic to the Antarctic.

  

Tree Swallows and other types swallows nest in North America and migrate to South America.

  

Peregrine Falcon along with hawks and other types of falcons migrate over fields and mountain ranges.

  

Ruby Throated Hummingbirds migrate up to 1,500 miles from the northern range in Canada down to Florida.

Robins may stay year round where the winter temperature are warm enough and food is available.
